Dec 28, 2008 you say?
Really. Dec 28, 2008. That is almost 2 years ago. No blogs since then....WTF?!?
I would like to be able to say that I have been so wildly successful with my new life as a best selling author that I have not had time to even log into this blog. I would like to tell you that I have been boarding planes and flying all over the world in search of adventure, that I have been sailing the Atlantic, hiking the outback in Australia, meditating in Tibetan monasteries, hang gliding off the edges of really steep cliffs and skating over frozen ponds in Alaska.
But I can't. That would all be one big fat lie, and I try my best to live my life without lies.
What have I been doing?
Well, I did write another book back in 2009 for NaNoWriMo. That is now 2 books I have written, and both of them remain unedited, collecting dust and being generally ignored. The even crazier thing is that I plan to write another, beginning in 1 week and ending in just over 5 weeks, because it will once again be November and that means NaNoWriMo.
Also, I have been enjoying my new living arrangements with my new/old roomie, Kat. It is good to live with someone again that is a friend from long ago, someone who remembers me when I was young and much more interesting than I am now. Also? Someone who I have no carnal knowledge of :)
Hmmm.....and of course I have filled a lot of the last 2 years with Fest related stuff. Fest gatherings, visits with festies, time on the fest board, facebook festie friends.....good times.
Other than that, my life has remained as it always does....average. I have a girlfriend I love, my "family" downstairs (hi Lynne!), my pets (and their hair) all over the place, my job which drives me to drink(only sometimes) and my laptop which helps me stay in touch with the world around me.
I can pay the bills, spend time with my friends and family, and know each day that I love and am loved. What more can a grrl ask for?
What I need, however, is to start writing again in whatever form that takes. NaNo starts next week, and that will get the ball rolling. This blog? Well who knows.....perhaps it is time for a rebirth, or a renewal, or a rewrite. We shall see.
